Experience

I am an experienced psychotherapist who has provided psychotherapy and counselling in Enfield, North London since 1980. Much of my early experience was gained working with addictions. For several years I was Director of an agency in North London that helped individuals and families experiencing alcohol or drug problems.

I have worked as a therapist in private practice now for over thirty years.  I currently see patients and supervisees in Southgate, London N14. I also work with patients and supervisees over the internet. In this way I have worked with patients living in the Middle East and elsewhere in Europe.

I have taught and supervised psychotherapists and counsellors for over 20 years. Agencies for which I have taught and supervised include Nafsiyat, the Refugee Therapy Centre, the Counselling Foundation and the Enfield Counselling Service.

I am currently the Director of the School of Infant Mental Health. For the School I design and teach on a UKCP-accredited training in Parent Infant Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

I have been Chair and Chair of Ethics of the Forum for Independent Psychotherapists. I am a member of the Enfield Psychotherapy Association.

Training

In 1991 I completed my training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the London Centre for Psychotherapy. The LCP has since become part of the British Psychotherapy Foundation.
